What to Expect on Sundays
Here's what a typical Sunday morning looks like in 5 steps.
Arrive
We suggest arriving around 10:15 AM. We meet at Downend School on Westerleigh Road, Downend, Bristol. If you are driving, there is plenty of free parking. There will be someone to warmly greet you at the main entrance to the building. They will be on hand to direct you to the right place and answer any questions you might have.
Have Children?
If you are coming with your family, most weeks there is a full children’s program for 5 to 10 year olds, and a fully staffed crèche every week for children 6-months to 4 years old. Every other week we also run a group for 10 to 12 year olds.
Singing
The service starts at 10:30 AM. We normally enjoy around 20-25 minutes of singing worship songs, old and new, rich in biblical truth, and led by a contemporary band. After this, we have announcements and a prayer.
Bible Teaching
The preaching of God’s Word is the most important part of our time together. Each week you’ll hear preaching that is richly biblical and edifying, exploring the depth and wonder of the Gospel and its application to all of life. If you don’t have a Bible, don’t worry, as we’d love to lend you one for the morning or even give you one to take home.
Get Connected
We finish our service with one or two more songs. By now it’s close to noon. Children are ready for collection from their groups and everyone is invited to stay around for refreshments. We’d love a chance to meet you and answer any questions you may have. Then please do join us again next Sunday and look for other ways to get connected to our church family.
