MINISTRIES

Sunday Morning is Just the Start

At Grace Church, we believe that Sunday mornings are just the start of what Christian community should look like. We have opportunities to get involved in small groups, hospitality, discipleship courses, serving the local community, and much more.

HOME GROUPS

Build community by joining a home group

Relationships are the backbone of our life together at Grace Church. The Christian life is meant to be shared. And we are serious about growing in fellowship with each other in rich, God-centred relationships.

One of the primary ways we cultivate this is through a network of small groups—what we call “Home Groups.” While we are joined to all believers in the local church, our Home Groups allow us to relate more deeply to each other. Each group is made up of 10-15 people and meets fortnightly in people’s homes.

CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED

Begin to explore the Christian faith

Christianity Explored is the perfect introduction to the Christian faith. Used by churches throughout the world, this seven week course explains who Jesus is, why he came, and what it means to follow him.

At Grace Church we run the course once or twice every year and everyone is welcome to attend. You don’t need to be a churchgoer or to have any prior knowledge to benefit. There’s also no pressure to believe or sign up to anything at the end. And it’s completely free. To find out more, please drop us an email.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Bring the whole family

At Grace Church we want to serve all ages and point everyone, no matter how young, to Christ. With this in mind we run a fully staffed crèche every Sunday morning for babies and toddlers aged 6—months to 4 years old.

For children aged 4—10 years old there’s Grace Kids which meets during the second half of the service. Here we use “The Biggest Story” curriculum which walks our children step by step through the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, relating every story of the Bible to the big, unstoppable story of God’s redemptive plan.

And for 10—12s every other Sunday morning we have a class called Crossway. Here we take the children even deeper into God’s word, while also helping them adjust to staying in the Sunday service more frequently.

All our staff and volunteers are DBS checked and we adhere to a strict and vigilant safeguarding policy.

YOUTH MINISTRY

G2 and Switch

One Gospel. Two Generations. That’s the heart behind G2, our teens ministry for 11—17s. Rather than parents abdicating their role to a youth pastor, parents are encouraged to be heavily involved in all G2 activities and to be the primary means of grace in their teenager’s lives.

We meet twice a month on Friday nights providing a context where parents and youth can both encounter God and encourage and challenge one another to live lives worthy of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Our times together include teaching, small group discussions, deepening friendships, and lots of laughter!

On the alternate Friday evenings we run a youth group called Switch for those same teens, their friends and other young people from the local community. Switch is run by a dedicated team of volunteers and is jam-packed with games, outings and plenty of opportunity for friendship-building.

STUDENTS AND YOUNG ADULTS

Life Group

The younger adult years are packed with opportunities and at Grace Church we aim to help those in their late teens, 20s and 30s make the most of them.

Knowing that studying away from home can be difficult—being away from much that’s familiar, like family, friends and church—we seek to especially support and encourage our student community, warmly welcoming them into our church family, providing lunches most Sundays, and encouraging them along to our Life Group gathering for 18—30s each Sunday evening.

MINISTRY TEAMS

Help meet the needs of the community

There are so many ways to get involved in serving at Grace Church on Sundays and throughout the week. Whether your gifts and abilities lie in music, hospitality, audio-visual, design & media, mercy ministry, or more things besides, we believe the church is a body where every member has a part to play and gifts to employ for the common good.

More Ministries to Explore

There are more opportunities to get involved and serve at Grace Church. Join us on a Sunday morning and enjoy refreshments after the service with us. We’d love a chance to meet you and would welcome the opportunity to tell you more!
