Saturday 9th October 2021 @ St Michael's Church Centre, Stoke Gifford.
The title of the convention this year is Feeling WELL: The place of emotions in Christian discipleship. Our Puritan forebears were unashamed about the essential place of the ‘affections’ in discipleship, but there is much confusion today around the place of ‘emotion’ in the Christian life, especially for men. How do we learn to listen to our emotions without becoming enslaved to them? To order and sanctify our affections without suppressing them?
We are so thrilled to have Julian Hardyman from Eden Baptist Church in Cambridge, and Santhosh Thomas from Dundonald Church in London joining us to think about such an essential and yet often misplaced part of the Christian life. There will be a range of afternoon seminars as well as the main expositions to help us get our teeth into the topic together, and the customary 10ofThose bookstall.
All of the details are available via the Men's Convention mini site: swgp.org.uk/men. Booking is now open for early-bird tickets (£16) which will be on sale until September 9th.
